PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — Update: Authorities canceled the Florida Missing Child Alert for Jameela Strickland on Monday, May 13.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says Strickland was found safe.

A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 17-year-old girl last seen in Panama City Beach.
Authorities say Jameela Strickland was last spotted on L C Hilton Drive near Pier Park Drive.
She is described as being 5-foot-2 and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Jameela was last seen wearing a black hijab, dark-colored shirt, dark-colored pants, and white and black sneakers.
She may also have a scar on her right arm.
