Missing 16-year-old girl found safe

LAUREL HILL, Fla. — A Missing Child Alert issued for a 16-year-old girl Wednesday afternoon has been canceled because the child is safe, authorities said.

She was located later in the day, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Authorities are searching for a 16-year-old girl last seen in the Florida Panhandle.

A Florida Missing Child Alert was issued Tuesday for Cailey Tupman. The teen was reportedly last seen on Jack Road in Laurel Hill.

She is described as being 5-foot-4 and 139 pounds with red hair and blue eyes. Cailey also has a tattoo of a heart on her hip.

According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Cailey may be in the area of DeFuniak Springs.

Anyone with information on where the teen may be is asked to contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office at 850-651-7400 or call 911.
