How to check your evacuation zone in Hillsborough County as Hurricane Helene tracks toward Florida coast

In Hillsborough County, a mandatory evacuation order is in place for residents in Zone A and all mobile or manufactured homes.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — As Hurricane Helene continues moving toward the Florida coast, it's important you know what evacuation zone you are in.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management has a Know Your Zone map where you can type in your address and find your nearest evacuation route. The agency also has individual maps for each county. In Hillsborough County, evacuation Zone A is mostly along the coast. Click here for an in-depth look at the zones.

Remember, these maps are posted as a reference. Any specific evacuation order is issued by local emergency managers. FDEM said if there is not an evacuation order for your area, "you may consider sheltering in place," but warned that you could still see strong winds and heavy rain.
