Gusty winds, storm surge and torrential rainfall are possible from a tropical system forecast to move into Florida.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Tropical Storm Debby is brushing Florida's West Coast with heavy rain and gusty winds — while also bringing the chance of a few tornadoes.

A tropical storm warning is in effect for most of the Tampa Bay area.

Impacts from the tropical system will include heavy rainfall, possible flash flooding, storm surge and tornado risk. However, not everyone in the Tampa Bay area will be affected the same.
