WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Hundreds of lineworkers will be staged at LEGOLAND Florida's parking lot in Winter Haven to help those who are still without power after Hurricane Milton.

At this time, Tampa Electric (TECO) says 9,551 of its customers are without power.

"We’re glad to be helping Tampa Electric (TECO Energy) by serving as a staging site for about 400 line workers who are in the Polk County area to restore power and rebuild after the storm," LEGOLAND officials stated in a news release.

As of Wednesday morning this week, 97% of TECO customers have power while 95% directly impacted by Milton have had their service restored.

In a previous news release, officials said more than 6,000 line workers, tree trimmers and other personnel have been working in overlapping 16-hour shifts to restore power.
