ORLANDO, Fla. — With Helene expected to strengthen into a major Category 3 hurricane before hitting Florida on Thursday, officials with "The Most Magical Place on Earth" are preparing for possible impacts.
As of now, the Walt Disney World Resort will be "operating under normal conditions" with some attractions canceled or unavailable when Helene makes landfall in Florida this Thursday, park officials said on the resort's official website.
"We are closely monitoring the path of the storm as we continue to prioritize the safety of our Guests and Cast Members," officials stated.
The following attractions will be closed on Thursday, according to Walt Disney World officials:
Water Parks
- Typhoon Lagoon
- Blizzard Beach (closed for the season)
Tours & Enchanting Extras Collections
- Savor the Savanna
- Up Close with Rhinos
- Walking with Giants
- Wild Africa Trek
Miniature Golf
- Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf
- Winter Summerland Miniature Golf
Pools at Disney Resort Hotels
- Pools at resort hotels will continue to operate and close "under normal conditions," officials said
