Circle K to offer big gas discount on Thursday amid slight uptick in Florida prices

The offer will only be available at participating locations such as Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Ft. Myers, Miami and Naples.

TAMPA, Fla. — With Florida seeing a slight uptick in gas prices, Circle K is offering some relief for drivers.

On Thursday, Oct. 26, the convenience store company said in a news release it will be having a "Circle K Fuel Day Pop-Up" across multiple southern Florida areas that will give 40 cents off of gas per gallon.

The offer will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and only be available at participating locations such as Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Ft. Myers, Miami and Naples.

The discount will apply directly to the pump. To find participating Circle K locations, click here.

Also, members who sign up for Inner Circle, which is Circle K's free rewards membership program, for the first time can save up to 65 cents when they pair the deal of the memberships' 25 cents off per gallon on the first five fill-up offers.

"New Inner Circle members can also treat themselves to five free dispensed beverages from hot or iced coffee to fan favorites available in the iconic Polar Pop cup or as Frosters," the news release reads.

According to AAA, the average gas price per gallon in the Sunshine State is currently at $3.32, which is 3 cents higher than what it was a week ago – $3.29.

Despite the small increase, gas prices are still lower than what it was a month ago, which was at $3.59.

If gas prices continue to rise, here are some tips AAA has for drivers to save on gas:

  • Combine errands to limit driving time.
  • Shop around for the best gas prices in your community.
  • Pay with cash. Some retailers charge extra per gallon for customers who pay with a credit card.
  • Remove excess weight in your vehicle. Every 100 pounds taken out of the vehicle improves fuel economy by 1-2 percent.
  • Drive conservatively. Aggressive acceleration and speeding reduces fuel economy.
