ISLAMORADA, Fla — A package containing 16 bricks of suspected cocaine washed up on a beach in the Florida keys, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office revealed earlier this week.

Guests at the Islands of Islamorada resort discovered the package Sunday morning, according to the sheriff's office. It was turned over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

A photo released by the sheriff's office shows the package wrapped and taped with a picture featuring what looks like a dune buggy. Authorities did not specify how much the drugs weighed.

This is just one of the few times cocaine has been found on or near the shores of Florida this year. In June, scuba divers found dozens of bricks of suspected cocaine with fake Nike logos printed on them off the coast of the Florida Keys.

A month prior, someone found 65 pounds of cocaine that washed up on a beach in the Florida Keys, according to CBS Miami. Authorities said that batch had an estimated street value of $1 million.

Hurricane Debby also blew in packages of cocaine along Florida shores earlier this month, according to U.S Border Patrol.
