ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Police have arrested a man in connection to an April 1 stabbing death at a St. Petersburg apartment.
A woman called St. Pete police just after 7:30 p.m. on April 1 saying she was out of town and couldn't get in contact with her boyfriend, 49-year-old Timothy Pustelak.
Officers responded to the Marisol Vista Apartments on 11th Street N to do a welfare check.
They reportedly arrived to find Pustelak stabbed to death in his apartment.
On Tuesday, police arrested 31-year-old Jovante Darling in connection to Pustelak's death. Darling was charged with second-degree murder.
Detectives say Darling and Pustelak knew each other and had an argument that led to the murder.
