TAMPA, Fla. — If you need a ride as you recover from Hurricane Milton, HART has got you covered.

Effective immediately, HART Bus, HARTPlus, and HARTFlex are operating fare-free until Oct. 21.

Hillsborough Area Regional Transit leaders say the initiative is "designed to support the community during the ongoing recovery from Hurricane Milton."

The busses being fare-free can help people get to county-established emergency comfort stations, help those displaced by Hurricane Helene and Milton not have to worry about transportation and help students get to class, home or wherever they need to be.

"This fare-free period ensures safe and accessible transportation for all during this challenging time," HART leaders said.
