TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police arrested a man who they say shot and killed a resident at the Scruggs Manor apartment complex.
Mark Franklin Jr., 24, faces charges of first-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm in connection to the Sept. 24 shooting., according to a Tampa Police Department news release.
Police were called around 3:15 a.m. following the discovery of a man who was killed.
Witnesses identified Franklin as someone who had an argument with the victim before the shooting, and additional witnesses identified him as the shooter, police said in a statement.
