Grab your wands: A new Harry Potter-themed land is coming to Universal Orlando

The immersive experience featuring rides, restaurants and stores based on the movies is set to open in 2025.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Get your wands ready for the new installment of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter set to open next year at Universal Orlando Resort.

The "Ministry of Magic" is coming to Florida as one of the five worlds at Universal Epic Universe in 2025. The world is based on the government of the magical community featured in the popular book and movie series. Guests will be able to journey from the theme park into Paris where they will find shopping and dining opportunities before heading to London to see the British Ministry of Magic, according to a news release.

The world will include a new ride called "Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry" where guests will be able to travel by wizard transit from Paris to London for the trial of the infamous Dolores Umbridge, who was a bureaucrat in the movies. Guests will get to see the ministry's grand entry and see other departments from the movies.

The ride revolves around trying to find Umbridge who escaped while dodging attacks from creates, such as Death Eaters, from the series.
