SPRING HILL, Fla. — Video taken from a resident showed a funnel cloud forming near the Pasco/Hernando County line.
Adrianna Campbell sent 10 Tampa Bay videos of a funnel cloud spiraling over her in Spring Hill. She posted the videos to Facebook around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) did confirm multiple reports of a funnel cloud spotted near the Hernando/Pasco County line.
What is a funnel cloud?
NWS defines a funnel cloud as a rotating column of air that is not in contact with the ground. Once that funnel touches the ground, it becomes a tornado.
