ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Emergency crews have been busy responding to damage from at least one tornado in Tampa Bay area.
A weather system Sunday brought several tornado warnings, in addition to a thunderstorm warning -- all of which have since been canceled. The National Weather Service confirms an EF-1 tornado with 100-mph winds ripped through a Pasco County neighborhood.
Pasco Fire Rescue crews reported noticeable damage along Atis Street near Bolam Avenue in New Port Richey. Authorities say the storms toppled several trees and power lines.
Electrical workers have been dispatched to address the live wires.
Firefighters say at least one small fire has been put out. A tree also fell on a car.
No injuries have yet been reported.
