PLANT CITY, Fla. — The Florida Strawberry Festival's grand opening on Thursday will feature a mix of clouds and sun, but thankfully rain chances will be far and few between with a less than 10% chance for rain.
A stalled out front stays to our north keeping our rain chances very low here at home. Make sure you have the shorts and sunscreen.
This weekend, we have sweet weather and strawberries in the forecast.
You may want to add some ice cream with very warm highs in the lower to middle 80s. The humidity will be on the increase and this could spark a brief shower or two mainly in the late afternoon, but it will not last long or be a washout. The main front will not move our way until the middle of next week.
The annual celebration of all things strawberry — Plant City's specialty — runs from Feb. 29 to March 10, 2024, at 303 Berryfest Place.
Each year guests look forward to concerts from big-name artists, livestock shows, midway rides, carnival games and, of course, a new lineup of "berry" sweet treats. Here's your opening weekend performers:
