ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The severe thunderstorm warnings earlier in effect for parts of the Tampa Bay area have been canceled, according to the National Weather Service
Forecasters earlier issued warnings for parts of Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties because of the threat of damaging winds and large hail.
While no significant storm reports have come in, there was an instance of pea-sized hail in the Land O' Lakes area.
