Strong storms cause flooding, power outages across Tampa Bay

Fallen tree limbs and lightning were to blame for most of the outages, the power companies said.

TAMPA, Fla. — Strong storms moved across Tampa Bay on Monday, dumping inches of rain in some areas.

There was also heavy flooding in parts of St. Petersburg along 4th Street North near 38th Avenue North, and Shore Acres Boulevard and along Dr. M.L.K. Jr Street N near 62nd Avenue N.
