As the extremely dangerous storm's path shifts to the east, Polk County leaders re-evaluate their preparation.

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — As the possible track for Hurricane Dorian shifts more to the east, Polk County leaders said they were making changes to their preparation.

Government offices will be closed Monday for Labor Day through Tuesday, but will be back open to normal hours Wednesday.

Public schools in Polk County will stay closed Tuesday and Wednesday because of the forecast for heavy rain and tropical-storm-force winds.
