National Hurricane Center: Oscar becomes 8th hurricane, will stay at sea

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Hello, Hurricane Oscar, and so long.

Not to be such a grouch, but you're not wanted here. And the hurricane center agrees: Becoming the 8th hurricane of the Atlantic season, Hurricane Oscar is forecast to move away from land and remain at sea.

The storm is an 80-mph, Category 1 hurricane located about 550 southeast of Bermuda, according to the National Hurricane Center's 5 p.m. Monday advisory.
