BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — Residents of River Heights Estates can evacuate the Ridge Manor subdivision using a new emergency road, Hernando County said Sunday.
The new road is near the Walmart Distribution Center between Kettering Road and Cyril Drive, off of State Road 50.
The county constructed the emergency road to provide access to the flooded properties after the waters of the Withlacoochee River rose as a result of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
