TAMPA, Fla. — As Tampa Bay residents wake up on Thursday morning, they are urged not to travel as many roads are impassable because of fallen trees, downed power lines and flooding.
Law enforcement across the region is doing damage assessments after the Category 3 hurricane pounded cities with intense rain and wind.
Here's a running list of roads that are heavily damaged:
Pinellas County
- There is extreme localized flooding in St. Petersburg between 22nd Avenue and 58th Street and Central Avenue and 58th Street North
- A large number of traffic signals are inoperable due to widespread power outages
- If you have to be out on the roads, use caution at intersections with inoperable traffic signals and make sure you're treating them as 4-way stops, as required by law.
Polk County
