CLEARWATER, Fla. — This year's Clearwater Jazz Holiday festival will be canceled due to the state of emergency caused by Hurricane Milton, event organizers said in a news release.
The festival, originally scheduled for Oct. 17-20, was canceled due to "many factors," including critical operational and support services, accessibility of important infrastructure and materials, and power outages.
"The decision to cancel is heart-wrenching and devastating to our organization, which relies on the festival income as its largest program service to support Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation’s mission of year-round music, education & outreach in schools, neighborhood family centers and other organizations and to support young and local musicians," organizers stated.
Refunds will reportedly be available to ticket buyers along with the option to support Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation. Ticket purchasers will receive an email, organizers said.
