SARASOTA, Fla. — Emergency distribution sites are now open in six counties across the area for people affected by Hurricane Milton.
Booker Middle School is hosting a pop-up mobile food pantry on Tuesday for district and school employees and families impacted by Hurricane Milton. It will be from from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"Many in our community are still without power and stable communication. Please help us spread the word about this event & share this information – we want to help as many people in need as possible."
There are also other emergency distribution sites across Sarasota County.
County staff and the Florida National Guard have set up four neighborhood Supply Points of Distribution (PODS) to provide water, food, and tarps for those impacted by Hurricane Milton. The sites are open daily from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. or while supplies last. Here's where you can find them:
