Tampa Bay rainfall totals: How many inches of rain did Debby bring to your city?

Parts of Sarasota saw more than 17 inches of rain in three days, according to National Weather Service reports.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Parts of the Tampa Bay area are still underwater after Hurricane Debby brought torrential rain over the weekend. 

Some cities saw more than a foot of rain, turning streets into rivers and forcing emergency responders to use airboats and ATVs to help residents out of flooded homes. 

Water levels are even expected to rise in some areas before flooding clears out in the coming days.

Here's how many inches of rain fell over the past three days in cities throughout the Tampa Bay area, according to reports from the National Weather Service. The NWS notes that measurements "are collected from a variety of sources with varying equipment," and therefore can't be considered "official."

Sarasota County rainfall totals

  • Sarasota - 17.78 inches
  • Siesta Key - 13.19 inches
  • Venice - 10.53 inches
  • North Port- 7.69 inches

Manatee County rainfall totals

  • Parrish - 18.86 inches
  • Lakewood Ranch - 12.92 inches
  • Bradenton - 11 inches

Pinellas County rainfall totals

  • Pinellas Park - 14.04 inches
  • Clearwater  Beach - 13.41 inches
  • St. Petersburg - 11.44 inches
  • Palm Harbor - 9.69 inches
  • Clearwater - 8.33 inches
  • Largo - 8.24 inches
  • St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport - 7.33 inches
