CLEARWATER, Fla. — Comedian and Tampa native Bert Kreischer is bringing a special show to benefit those who were affected by Hurricane Helene.
Kreischer's benefit show, called Bert Aid, will happen at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater.
All proceeds will go to Metropolitan Ministries to aid in ongoing efforts to bring relief to people whose lives were devastated by Hurricane Helene last week.
Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, Oct. 4. Prices range from $63.50 to $128.75. For more ticket information, click or tap here. 102.5 The Bone's Mike Calta will also be part of the show and more special guests are said to be announced later.
“I was born in St. Petersburg, raised in Tampa, and went to school in Tallahassee,” Kreischer said in a statement, “anything that happens to the state of Florida, I always feel like happens to me. I think all Floridians feel this way. Florida defined me and the Bay area is family. I will do anything to help family.”
Kreischer's career has spanned close to 30 years and he has become one of the top-grossing stand-up comedians, according to a release.
"As one of the best storytellers of his generation, Kreischer seamlessly and sincerely shares anecdotes about his family and fatherhood while showing his ability to prove 'that there’s a way to take his [party-boy] antics into middle-age,' (Forbes)," the release stated in part.
Kreischer is no stranger to the Tampa Bay area. He reportedly filmed his sixth Netflix stand-up special this past summer at the Mahaffey Theatre in St. Pete. Back in January, he served as the Grand Marshal for Tampa's iconic Gasparilla Pirate Fest.
