- The Withlacoochee River is continuing to rise to near-record levels, with a crest not expected until later this week. People in low-lying areas have evacuated.
EVACUATIONS
The evacuation order for Flood Zone A was lifted Thursday morning.
A curfew is in place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., prohibiting travel in parts of the county. The latest details can be found on the county's website.

A FEMA Disaster Recovery Center will be open for those affected by Hurricane Debby/Helene/Milton on Wednesday, Oct. 16:

Whispering Pines Park closed at 5 p.m. on Monday, October 7, and will remain closed until further notice. Downtown city parks and Liberty Park reopened for regular hours on Oct. 11. The Valerie Theatre reopened for regular hours on Friday, Oct. 11.
Residential Sanitation Services
Residential sanitation services in Inverness that were scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday were picked up on Friday. Friday's garbage routes were scheduled to be picked up on Saturday.
