10 Weather: Rain coverage remains low

Drier air working into the region throughout the week will keep rain chances minimal, with cloudy skies.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Our forecast remains on the drier side as Tuesday rolls around.

Tuesday: Moisture tries to win the battle, increasing our rain chances a day before drier air filters in again towards the end of the week. Areas of isolated storms and showers move from the coast to inland zones.

High: 90

Rain Chance: 40%

Tropics: Gordon has weakened to a Tropical Depression and continues to spin in the south central Atlantic as a fish storm, bringing no threat to land. Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight is off the coast of the Carolinas. This system will likely become Tropical Storm Helene soon, bringing heavy rain and the threat of flooding to the southeastern US. No threats here at home.
