10 Weather: A warm weekend with most of the rain holding off until next week

Winds from the northeast has cut off the polar air and temperatures soar back above normal near 80. Rain returns by the middle of next week.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Ready for the holiday parades? Don't forget the shorts. Polar air has lifted allowing our higher Florida sun angle to take control and heat us up above normal. But keep your guard up we have good rain chances next week and another big dip in temperatures on the way.  

Today: Running into the weekend with a Prangley Runner Index of 10!  Today a mix of sun and clouds will help push  temperatures into the upper 70s. High: 77

Sunday: Our warming trend continues with lows starting near 60 and highs in the upper 70s to near 80. A gusty northeast wind will be at 10-20 mph with only a lone inland shower east of I-75.  High: 79

Next Week: Another strong front on the way with good rain chances from Tuesday into early Thursday. Get the winter jackets out again by late week and next weekend.
