TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa International Airport is once again running to be known as America's "Best Large Airport" by USA Today.
The airport is running for the publication's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards for Best Large Airport, along with several airport dining categories.
TPA is running up against several popular U.S. airports such as O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Miami International Airport.
As of last week, TPA was ranked at No. 1, but these rankings are now hidden until after votes are cast. In 2023, it was ranked No. 2 behind Indianapolis International Airport.
USA Today also has the airport and two of its restaurants nominated in three dining categories.
Those include Best Airport for Dining, Bavaro's for Best Airport Grab-and-Go Food and Cigar City Brewing and Ulele for Best Airport Sit-Down Restaurant.
Voting is open through Monday, Sept. 23.
