Allegiant Travel Company announces new flight routes for St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport will soon have new destination options from Allegiant Travel Company

Starting in June, PIE will have flights available to and from Evansville Regional Airport in Evansville, Indiana, and McAllen International Airport in McAllen, Texas.

These new set of flights out of PIE are among 10 new routes nationwide that the company is bringing to 10 different cities.

The routes provide the only nonstop service between each city.

"This expansion caters to passengers and communities we feel have been overlooked by other carriers," said Allegiant's chief revenue officer Drew Wells. "Allegiant's unique business model, connecting small-to-medium sized cities to vacation destinations, creates accessible travel options not otherwise available in what we believe are underserved markets. We know travelers enjoy the convenience of nonstop flights departing from their neighborhood airport."

With the new routes, Allegiant is offering one-way fares on the new routes as low as $45.

“We look forward to welcoming Evansville and surrounding southern Indiana, Illinois, and Northern Kentucky communities to convenient non-stop flights to St. Pete-Clearwater!” said St. Pete-Clearwater Int’l Airport Director Tom Jewsbury. “With new service to McAllen Texas, the stunning beaches of St. Pete-Clearwater and the Rio Grande of McAllen will offer a great exchange for nature photographers and bird lovers to enjoy the beauty of these diverse areas.”
