(USA TODAY) Spend a night at IKEA through Airbnb. No, really.
The Swedish furniture company is letting people spend the night of Aug. 31 at its store in Sydney, Australia.
"Close to the airport with city views, ample parking, and elevator and escalator access, each listing shares an adjacent kitchen/dining room and kids' hang-out area with the other guests," reads the listing on Airbnb, a website that allows people to rent out rooms to travelers.
Choose from different styles of rooms: "rustic charm," "inner city living" or "modern elegance."
IKEA is not charging any money to stay at the store, but an $11 Airbnb fee applies.
One caveat: By staying, you agree to be covered by the media.
"Oh, and that you will be woken in the morning in a remarkable way. Nothing frightening — we promise!" IKEA says in the listing.
The Airbnb listing isn't even IKEA's weirdest marketing move yet. This week the company released a video ad showing a couple being hypnotized and made to think they are traveling in time.
