LAKELAND, Fla. — Starting Oct. 24, Avelo Airlines will be adding seven new nonstop destinations from Lakeland-Linder International Airport (LAL).
Those destinations are:
- San Juan, Puerto Rio (SJU)
- Atlanta (ATL)
- Boston/Manchester N.H. (MHT)
- Charlotte/Concord (USA)
- Hartford, Connecticut (BDL)
- Philadelphia/Wilmington, Delaware (ILG)
- Rochester, New York (ROC)
"These new destinations join Avelo’s current nonstop service to Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN). Avelo is the only airline offering nonstop service to these eight popular destinations," officials said in a news release.
Also, with these seven new routes, Avelo will now be serving eight nonstop destinations from LAL.
"The addition of these seven new routes from LAL represents a significant expansion of Avelo’s presence in Central Florida and our commitment to the region," Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy stated. "Now with eight popular routes from LAL, traveling to and from Central Florida is easier than ever.”
Airline officials said Avelo will operate these routes twice weekly with Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft with fares starting at $52 from LAL.
In the release, Lakeland Mayor Bill Mutz stated that while Avelo has been experiencing success with its inaugural flights to and from the city, commercial flight partners are already offering new flight destinations.
"We have confidence the greater Polk community will continue to support commercial air carriers, and Avelo has recognized this desire with the announcement of new non-stop routes from Lakeland Linder International Airport," Mutz stated.
