TAMPA, Fla — The Cross-Bay Ferry is back in business.
For a fourth season, passengers can take the most scenic route from Downtown Tampa to Downtown St. Petersburg aboard the ferry.
In Tampa, the ferry docks on the waterside of the Tampa Convention Center. In St. Petersburg, the ferry docks in the marina near Vinoy Park.
This year, ticket prices have gone up a bit. Adult fare is $10 one way and $20 round trip, seniors are $8 one way and $16 round trip and kids are $5 one way and $10 round trip. Children four and under can ride for free.
The Cross-Bay Ferry suspended its services in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
To help limit the spread of COVID-19, all passengers will be required to wear masks on board unless they are eating or drinking. Plexiglass has been installed in between seating and motion sensors have been installed in restrooms so its contactless, according to Pinellas Transportation Director, Evan Mory.
