TAMPA, Fla. — A new Busch Gardens attraction rises from its ashes as the park prepares for its blazing debut later this spring.
The park recently invited media members to check out its new roller coaster, Phoenix Rising, weeks before ride attendants wave thrill seekers goodbye as they reach 44 mph.
Phoenix Rising promises twists and turns high above the Serengeti Plain that your whole family can enjoy, as those less than 4 feet tall can strap themselves in, according to the Busch Gardens website.
Located in Pantopia, Phoenix Rising is a “family-friendly suspended roller coaster” serving as the park's 10th roller coaster and is its first to have a musical soundtrack, the park said.
The roller coaster could open a month and a half to two months from now, according to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island president Stewart Clark. Tickets are also available on the Busch Gardens website, at the park’s entrance or through authorized resellers.
