TAMPA, Fla. — A water main break in Tampa caused parts of east Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Tampa to close Friday afternoon, according to a news release.
All eastbound lanes on East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard are now closed between North 22nd Street and North 24th Street while the Tampa Water Department completes repairs, city water officials said.
The northbound lane on North 22nd Street is also closed between East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and East 31st Avenue due to these repairs.
City officials are asking drivers to use caution when driving in the area.
The repairs are expected to be completed by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, city officials said. The Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work, but an update will be provided at that time.
