PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla — FHP responded to a Friday morning crash on US-19 near 126th Avenue North in Pinellas County.
Troopers say both drivers sustained serious injuries.
FHP says both cars were traveling southbound on US-19 just north of 126th Avenue North when one car, traveling at a high speed, collided with the rear of the other.
Both cars overturned in the travel lanes and shoulder, dispersing debris over 500 feet, according to the report.
The crash closed the southbound lanes of US-19 while FHP investigated. The lanes were reopened at 8:20 Friday morning.
