ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Traffic is back to normal after a car caught on fire Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 275 South, near 22nd Avenue South in St. Petersburg, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
Authorities say the incident that caused the two left lanes to be blocked has been cleared, and FDOT cameras show all lanes back open.
A 2021 Nissan Rogue experienced a mechanical fire, the Florida Highway Patrol explained. Fortunately, the driver was able to stop on the shoulder of the highway and was not hurt.
