ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Severe storms caused a crane to fall, shutting down part of northbound I-275 in St. Petersburg, not far from Roosevelt Boulevard.
No injuries were reported.
Traffic was diverted onto Roosevelt Boulevard while crews worked to remove the crane.
The crane is part of the Archer Western/DeMoya Joint Venture Gateway project.
The line of storms also wreaked havoc on other parts of the Tampa Bay area. The weather pushed a tree onto a home while seven people were inside Thursday night in Seminole. Firefighters say one person was hurt.
