ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — For all the drivers around the Tampa Bay area, you may have noticed some road closures popping up.
Throughout multiple surrounding counties, roadwork is forcing people to find alternate routes to get from point A to point B. And we know some people may be wondering where exactly the closures are.
Here's a breakdown of a couple of road closures happening around the Tampa Bay area.
Interstate 275 in Pinellas County is seeing some closures throughout the next couple of days.
I-275 from south of Gandy Boulevard, exit 28, to 4th Street North, exit 32, will be closed from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. up through Saturday, July 16. I-275 at the Howard Frankland Bridge between Hillsborough and Pinellas counties will have lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. up until Friday, July 15.
This county is also seeing some changes with I-275 in the area north of I-4 interchange to north of Hillsborough Avenue being closed from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. up until Thursday, July 14.
There will also be some closures on NB I-75 at State Road 574 and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, exit 260 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13 and Thursday, July 14.
Northbound I-75 interchange at Big Bend Road, exit 246, will have lane closures from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Thursday, July 14.
Continuing on with closures on I-75, Pasco County is seeing some at Overpass Road with construction happening about halfway between exits 279-285. Closures will run from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. until Friday, July 15.
State Road 52 from west of I-75 to west of Uradco Place Lane will be undergoing construction all day into the spring of 2023. At least one lane will be open at all times.
With closures in mind, drivers should use alternative routes if needed.
