POLK CITY, Fla. — A car on fire caused delays Wednesday morning for commuters on Interstate 4 in Polk County.
The vehicle caught on fire just before 7 a.m. on I-4 east near Old Grade Road in Polk City, according to the Florida Department of Transportation. The right lanes of the interstate were blocked but have since reopened.
Drivers were advised to use caution due to possible smoke in the area while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.
There is no word yet on injuries or the cause of the fire.
