PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Flooding from rain has closed several roads in Pasco County, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.

At this time, the following areas are closed to traffic, according to the sheriff's office:

  • Port Richey - Northbound lanes on Congress St. at Ridge Rd.
  • Port Richey - Westbound lanes on Fox Hollow Dr. at Mark Twain Ln.
  • Port Richey - All lanes on Nome Ave.

In the post, deputies reminded people not to drive through flooded roadways.

"Just one foot of water is enough to float most cars, and as little as six inches of water can cause stalling and loss of vehicle control," the sheriff's office said in the post.
