HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A 47-year-old motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a car Friday afternoon on I-275 in Hillsborough County.
The crash happened around 2:40 p.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). The motorcyclist was traveling north in the outside lane near milepost 43. Meanwhile, a woman was driving her car in the same direction.
Troopers said the motorcyclist drove across and collided with the back of the woman's car near the entrance ramp before coming to a rest along the outside shoulder of the highway.
The motorcyclist died from his injuries at the hospital, FHP said. The woman and a 19-year-old girl traveling with her were not injured.
