SPRING HILL, Fla. — A 35-year-old man was killed and two drivers were left seriously injured after a nearly head-on crash between two cars in Spring Hill Friday night.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:45 p.m. on Northcliff Boulevard. A 19-year-old man was traveling west in a Nissan Altima before drifting across the roadway near Merchant Avenue "for unknown reasons," troopers said.
The teen ended up drifting into the path of a 61-year-old woman driving a Chevy Malibu with the man in the passenger seat. The two cars crashed nearly head-on, and all three were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The 35-year-old man died from his injuries at the hospital, the agency said.
