TAMPA, Florida — A man is seriously hurt after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Tampa, according to police.
Roads on Meridian Avenue between Jackson Street and Kennedy Avenue have been closed due to the crash, Tampa police wrote in a statement.
An adult male passenger was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition and the driver has been detained. The cause of the crash is still unknown.
Police expect roads to be closed for a while; they are urging drivers to find alternative routes.
