WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — A 33-year-old man was killed after he was hit by a car early Friday morning in Wesley Chapel, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident happened around 4:08 a.m. when the driver, a 51-year-old man from Largo, was traveling southbound on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. At the intersection of Aronwood Boulevard, the driver passed under a green traffic light as the 33-year-old failed to obey a walk signal, according to troopers.
The man died at the scene, FHP said. No charges against the driver were mentioned.
