PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — A two-car crash near the Howard Frankland Bridge caused major delays for Wednesday morning commuters.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to a crash around 7:15 a.m. on Interstate 275 South on the Pinellas County side of the bridge.
Southbound lanes of I-275 near the Howard Frankland Bridge were partially blocked but have since reopened.
Troopers say there are injuries but did not say how many people were hurt or what may have caused the crash.
The crash also caused some delays on the Gandy Bridge.
Editor's note: FHP originally reported that all southbound lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge were shut down. This story has been updated to reflect that the road was only partially blocked.
