TAMPA, Fla. — Gas prices dropped over the weekend and now AAA reports that the prices for Labor Day could be the lowest in three years.
Prices averaged $3.29 per gallon on Sunday in Florida, marking the lowest daily average in two months after jumping 8 cents early last week, according to a report.
Florida drivers paid $3.68 per gallon on Labor Day 2023, $3.52 in 2022 and $3.02 in 2021.
"Low oil prices have kept pump prices in check," said AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins in a statement. “Floridians planning to hit the road for Labor Day weekend are likely to find the lowest gas prices for the holiday weekend in three years.”
