ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A person was extricated from their vehicle following a two-car crash on Gandy Boulevard, police said.
It happened around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of Gandy Boulevard across from the Crab Shack restaurant, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Police said a Jeep and a Toyota Corolla collided in the median in front of the restaurant. St. Petersburg Fire Rescue crews were dispatched and assisted in rescuing the injured person from one of the vehicles.
As of this writing, their condition is unknown.
Drivers in the area should expect delays for some time.
