SARASOTA, Fla. — A Sarasota drawbridge that connects two seaside communities has been temporarily shut down as police investigate a crash that left the two-lane roadway littered with debris.
According to authorities, John Ringling Parkway, the drawbridge that connects St. Armand's to Longboat Key near Ken Thompson Parkway, is closed in both directions. Police say the closure is temporary.
Debris is currently littering the roadway. Police say the bridge will reopen once all of it is cleared.
