HOMOSASSA, Fla. — A 73-year-old woman was killed after a fiery crash Tuesday night near Torenia Verbenas Court in Homosassa.
The crash happened around 8:41 p.m. as the woman was traveling westbound on Poppy Street in a Chevy Impala, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
"For unknown reasons," according to troopers, the woman veered off the road and collided with several trees before her car burst into flames.
The woman reportedly died from her injuries at the scene of the crash.
